A masterpiece of Victorian architecture, this light-filled greenhouse is every bit as beautiful as the plants and flowers that it shelters.
Located in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the Conservatory showcases five different exhibits – each dedicated to a type of floral ecosystem, from a water lily pond to high-altitude orchids. Wedding guests can also enjoy exclusive usage of the Orchid Pavilion, a special event space that the conservatory added in 2008.
From 50 guests to 500, the Conservatory offers flexible options for parties of all sizes, with the convenience of being able to host the wedding ceremony and catered reception all in one place.
Wedding ceremonies can be performed outdoors or in, with locations ranging from a raised platform outside the greenhouse to the wood-and-glass framework of the Victorian entryway. For cocktail hour, guests can wander through exhibits as they sip on custom-crafted drinks and enjoy hors d'oeuvres. Seated dinners for up to 165 (150 with dance floor) can be held in the Orchid Pavilion, while larger parties can make additional usage of tented event space.
Additional reserved parking is available for wedding guests in the Dahlia garden.
