San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center
War Memorial Opera House Intermission Bars serve a tempting array of cocktails, wine, beer, snacks, gourmet sandwiches and salads. Enjoy fine food and beverage at bar locations on every level, or take in the view of the Main Lobby from the North Box Bar.
Intermission Service
For performances with an intermission, Global Gourmet operates pre-show and intermission food and beverage concession services in lobby areas. Refreshment areas are located on the Lobby, Box, Dress Circle and Balcony levels, as well as the Lower lounge.
Avoid lines during intermission by pre-ordering cocktails, beverages and snacks over the phone at 415.861.8150 or by email or with a food and beverage server upon your arrival at any point of service.
For performances with no intermission, pre-show service may be offered if the presenter has made special arrangements.
Prelude at the Opera House
Prelude at the Opera House (formerly known as The Café at the Opera) is located on the lower level of the War Memorial Opera House beneath the main lobby. The restaurant offers a changing seasonal buffet and elevated a la carte dishes for pre-performance dining and intermission, and is open two hours prior to performances.
Reservations are strongly recommended, available on OpenTable or by email at operahousepreorder@ggcatering.com. Guests with no reservations are gladly seated when tables are available.
North Box Restaurant
The North Box Restaurant is located on the North Mezzanine (Box) level and features locally sourced California cuisine with global influences. The North Box opens two hours before curtain.

Dress Circle Lounge
The Dress Circle Lounge on Level 3 (South) is open one hour before performances. Savor snacks, sandwiches and drinks in this newly renovated space.
Café Express
Café Express is on the Lower level and is open two hours before curtain. Indulge in small bites and a variety of premium wines and spirits.

As the exclusive Caterer for War Memorial Opera House, Global Gourmet Catering provides In-House Food and Beverage Services for private and corporate events at this location as a unique special event resource.
