We catered a four course wine paring dinner for 60 guests at the Nickel & Nickel winery in Napa Valley the other night which was such a beautiful location and event we had to share a few photos.
Nickel & Nickel is located in Oakville, CA along Highway 29, and includes a collection of classic barns, a restored 1884 Queen Anne-style home, an underground barrel aging cellar and a cutting-edge winery capable of producing up to 25 hand crafted, 100 percent varietal single-vineyard wines.
The wines are AMAZING and the horses you see here are rescued barrel racing horses living out their lives there. (We should all be so lucky!)
The menu included a selection of Hors d’ Oeuvres followed by a seated dinner service featuring a Lemon Ricotta Ravioli for the First Course, followed by a Duck Confit and Truffled Brie Tart, a Duet of Crispy Halibut and Smoked Braised Short Rib (or a Roasted Eggplant and Risotto Napoleon as a vegetarian/vegan option) and finishing with a Dessert Trio Course consisting of Peach and Almond Croissant Bread Pudding, Strawberry Panna Cotta and a Pear and Golden Raisin Tartlette with Almond Cream. All of which were pared with an assortment of some truly fantastic wines from the winery and the Napa Valley.
