Somaly Mam Fundraiser at Hiller Aviation

Global Gourmet Catering was extremely honored to be a part of the 2011 “Spread Your Wings” Somaly Mam Fundraising Gala at the Bay Area’s Hillier Aviation Museum.  The Somaly Mam Foundation is dedicated to ending sexual slavery around the world through rescue and recovery, education, reintegration, advocacy, and by raising global awareness.

The evening highlights included meeting Somaly Mam and celebrity friends, a live digital auction, dinner, dancing and most importantly, hearing the stories from the girls that have been affected by this catastrophic and horrifying industry. These brave, intelligent, ambitious and honorable young women moved us to tears but gave us a glimpse into the world that is foreign to so many of us. With the help of Somaly Mam Foundation and the people that support this cause, we are able to see that these unfathomable events can come to end.  Somaly Mam Foundation is a truly inspiring cause that hit all of our hearts in the deepest sense.
