Natural history and science buffs would have loved Sita and Justin’s fun yet elegant California Academy of Sciences wedding. Everything about it was lively and unique from its casual flair to its incorporation of the couple’s favorite movie, Harry Potter.
The setting for the ceremony could not have been more perfect. It took place in front of the vibrantly blue penguin habitat in the Tusher African Hall where the museum’s ambassador penguins not only got to witness the wedding but were a main focus (second only to the beautiful bride and groom, of course).
Sita and Justin wanted to make their reception a very customized experience. They requested we serve a magical alcoholic Butterbeer at the cocktail reception which guests sipped on while exploring the aquarium and watching the antics of Claude the Albino Alligator.
From their “Hogwarts”table at the head of the room, the wedding party, and the rest of the guests at their equally uniquely named tables, were served a tiered Roasted Duck and Butter Lettuce salad to start. This was then followed by the main course of savory Short Rib “Rendang” or a light and refreshing Seared Alaskan Halibut.
The California Academy of Sciences proved to be the perfect venue for the perfect wedding. Congratulations Sita and Justin!
