Garo comes to Global Gourmet with over 15 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry, bringing unique and creative beverage packages to a wide variety of our catering clients. His résumé includes heading up all operations for Patina Restaurant Group at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center and then the Slanted Door Group, including food and beverage operations at the California Academy of Sciences.
As our Director of Beverage, Garo is excited to bring his experience with high-end catering and designing customized beverage offerings to Global Gourmet’s clientele.
With an eye on developing trends and a passion for innovation, our beverage team lives for discovering and mastering the latest and greatest of San Francisco, and the country’s amazing beverage culture. In addition to advances in mixology and California’s breadth of wine offerings, the amazing growth of craft beers is an area of great potential for the enhancement of new and expanded beverage packages for our clients.
In his free time Garo, along with his cattle dog Beyla, operates a small-scale hops and barley farm on 40 acres in Sonoma County, exploring and practicing true farm to pint glass beer brewing.

From Nitrogen cocktails to custom bottled beverages, Garo and his team of mixologists are already hard at work opening doors to new levels of innovation and designing libations for once-in-a-lifetime events.
