Global Gourmet Catering was proud to be one of the bus stops today on the San Francisco leg of this year’s GMIC Sustainability Meetings Conference (April 15-17). Global Gourmet was asked to represent environmentally responsible food and beverage suppliers. Participants came from all over the world.
The GMIC (Green Meeting Industry Council) event is an opportunity to gain new tools, share best practices and transferable lessons, network with peers and leaders in the industry, and get inspired to continue sustainability efforts alongside like-minded professionals in the community.
Global Gourmet Catering is proud to be the first Bay Area Green Business certified full-service catering company in Northern California. We embrace our environmental responsibility and commitment to our local community as well as that of the planet we all share. In addition to offering seasonal, sustainably farmed organic cuisine sourced primarily from the Bay Area, truly green caterers commit to incorporating environmentally friendly practices in their event production as well as their day-to-day operations.
Representing food and beverage for the GMIC Sustainability in Action Tour was Global Gourmet’s Sina Scerba; Production Head/Senior Producer/Green Event Specialist, and Scott Fairbanks; Senior Sales Manager.
We served a simple seasonal vegetarian menu consisting of Mexican Mushroom Empanadas with Chipotle Aioli, Mini Fuji Apples with Almond Butter, Granola Crust and Honey, and plenty of refreshing Raspberry Lemonade.
We were thrilled to host fellow event planners in our office from the Bay Area as well as Singapore, Denmark and South Korea!
