Love was definitely in the air at Regina and James’ beautiful wedding. From the moment James proposed in a photo booth to the moment the couple said “I Do,” everyone knew that they were meant to be. We had a wonderful time working with these two amazing people and loved everything about their story. We made sure that the food and beverages were as equally classy and elegant as the couple themselves.
The reception took place at the picturesque Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Our specialty cocktails were passed around; one representing the bride and the other the groom. Regina’s cocktail was a deliciously refreshing Cucumber Gimlet while James chose a more rugged Sazerac consisting of Bourbon, “Groom-Made” Orange Bitters and an Absinthe Wash.
To complement the cocktails, we provided a special selection of Chicken Satay, Cuban Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche, Herb Roasted Eggplant and Mushroom Panisse, and a Twice Baked Potato Cup with Truffled Brie as hors d’oeuvres to tide everyone over until dinner was served.
Once the hors d’oeuvre plates were emptied, the guests were seated for dinner and served their choice of either Grilled Bavette Steak or Involtini de Melanzane con Sago Pomodoro al Forno (or Eggplant Roll-Ups with Ricotta and Herbs baked in fresh Tomato Sauce.)
As the wedding festivities went well into the star-filled night, the guests had their late night munchie cravings sated with our soup and sandwich combo of a Grilled White Cheddar Cheese Sandwich accompanied by a cup of Butternut Squash and Apple Soup.
Towards the end of the night, the couple sliced into their custom-made Global Gourmet three layer wedding cake which consisted of Dark Chocolate Cake with a Bailey’s Soak and Chocolate and Cream Cheese Filling as well as Amaretto Cake with Toasted Almonds and Mascarpone Filling.
We want to give a big thank you to Regina and James for choosing Global Gourmet Weddings to cater their big day and for being the best clients to work with. Cheers to the bride and groom!
