We had the privilege this week of providing corporate catering services for two promotional launch events and a media luncheon for Lexus at Dogpatch Studios in San Francisco to unveil their hot new 2014 Lexus IS performance sedan, produced by their national public relations firm Alison & Partners (who were wonderful to work with). They brought in key media from the West Coast to preview and test drive the new line of Lexus cars.
These were fairly small-scale, intimate affairs where we provided passed hors d’ oeuvres selections, savory stations, tasty desserts, coffee and tea for the evening launch events. A sampling of the catering menus included Cider Braised Pork Belly on Sweet Potato Cake
with Apple Celery Slaw, Fresh Local Dungeness Crab and Bay Shrimp Cakes, Braised Boneless Short Ribs, savory pies, and a seasonal selection of Petits Fours.
Lunch was provided yesterday for each guest after test driving the new cars consisting of (among other things) Shaved Prime Rib Sliders, Salad of Arugula, iced tea, lemonade, soda and dessert.
Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to test drive the new cars ourselves, but the numerous Global Gourmet Catering gear heads in our office are holding out hope for next year!
