YouTube Sent Extremely Cool Promo Boxes to Attendees for Virtual Event

The YouTube Brandcast presentation is usually something the company does as a fancy in-person event that includes celebrity guests and musical performances. Obviously, this year that couldn’t happen, so YouTube had to pivot. That pivot included its personalized gifts for attendees.

For this year’s “Brandcast Delivered” event, held entirely virtually, the YouTube team leaned into the “delivered” theme by delivering promo boxes for viewers to enjoy the broadcast from home a little more. The packages consisted of three separate sub-boxes labeled "Take," "Make" and "Bake," with ingredients for DIY pizzas and various promotional gifts like books, a Google Chromecast, socks and popcorn, according to Tubefilter.

Oh, and each box was personalized with the first name of the recipient. Always a nice touch.

This is pretty much the plan we’ve outlined a few times now, where events are shifting to an online format and attendees receive their promotional products by mail, rather than at the event. In YouTube’s case, they took a tough situation and made it fun and still very much on-brand for the event. It’s not something anyone is going to forget for quite a while, and it could make for a long-held keepsake.

Not the pizza, though. We hope everyone ate that before it went bad.
