Innovation is the name of the game and we love rising to the occasion. Our creative Sales Manager, Scott Fairbanks, came up with the amazing idea to do Dessert Street Art at an event we catered over the weekend at City View at Metreon.
What is Dessert Street Art, you may be asking? We like to describe it as a Jackson Pollack-inspired dessert art created by our “Artist Chefs” using plates as the canvas and sauces as the paint. Our chefs filled a table with small, square porcelain plates that held Maldon Salt-Dusted Caramel and Chocolate Tartlets and Lemon Tartlets with Toasted Meringue. Our “artists” then took paintbrushes and strategically drizzled different sauces all over the “canvas” to create a beautiful and delicious design.
All of this was done as an exhibition so the guests could watch. Once the painting was complete, everyone was encouraged to take a plate and taste the art. Who knew Street Art could be so sweet!
