LinkedIn knows how to throw a creative party! We catered their annual holiday event at Pier 48 that had the essence of a mid 90’s bar crawl and focused on the delights of music, games and dancing.
Guests first walked into the “Indi Folk Café” where our fully stocked bars were ready to serve them any drink of their choosing. There was also a comfortable seating area for everyone to relax and listen to a live band.
Next, guests were transported to the “House Party” where bright red couches gave the promise of comfort while flanked by brightly colored lamps. Graffiti artists created beautiful spray painted works of art in the middle of the room as guests sipped on cocktails and played with mini bottles of bubbles.
The next stop was the “Dive Bar.” Dim lighting cast a dark glow on couches and chairs surrounding tables stocked with board games. Skeeball, pinball, shuffleboard and pool tables were in abundance and classic episodes of The Simpsons were projected above one of the many bars. In the middle of the room were food stations with Sushi Hand Rolls and Baja Fusion Tacos.
The last room was “The Dance Club” with a neon, checkered dance floor and tables that held neon light rings, push pops and glow sticks. Guests danced to a live band and raved to the quiet tunes of a silent disco.
All that dancing sure works up an appetite, so we broke out late night sweets of Pumpkin Spice Pot de Crème and Malted Milk Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding, among others. We also provided a Cookies and Milk station with milk shooters and mini cookies, and passed around savory snacks like Fried Mac and Cheese Bites.
This was definitely a night to remember and put us in the mood to go home and revisit our favorite songs, games and shows from the 1990’s. Party on Garth. Schwing!
